Ningde, a prefecture-level city located along the northeastern coast of Fujian province, attracted 20 projects worth 17.63 billion yuan ($2.77 billion) at an investment fair on Sept 13, pingnan.ccoo.cn reported.

A total of 77 projects with a combined investment of 50.13 billion yuan were expected, covering manufacturing, tourism, biological medicine, trade and logistics.

Forty-six projects worth 21.77 billion yuan were related to machine manufacturing and light industry and 31 projects worth 28.36 billion yuan were involved in tourism, trade and logistics.

There were 37 projects with an investment of 500 million yuan or more each and 21 projects with more than 1 billion yuan each.

Party secretary of Ningde Liao Xiaojun said that Ningde is a highland of industry clusters with various preferential policies and welcomed more enterprises nationwide to invest in Ningde.
